De standaardinrichtingThe standard setup

Claude leest de gevonden passages mee en denkt mee: doorvragen, meerdere documenten naast elkaar leggen, tegenstrijdigheden opmerken. Dit levert doorgaans het beste resultaat op, juist omdat het AI-model dat de kennisbank gebruikt over de antwoorden kan meedenken.You simply ask your questions in Claude Code or Claude Desktop. Claude reads the retrieved passages and thinks along: follow-up questions, laying several documents side by side, spotting contradictions. This generally gives the best results, precisely because the AI model using the knowledge base can think along about the answers.

- De installatie is ongeveer 2 GB zwaarder en het bouwen duurt langer - daar staat tegenover dat er geen kosten per document zijn.The installation is roughly 2 GB heavier and building takes longer - in return there are no per-document costs.
- Kies je Bedrock, dan zet de installatie het lokale doorzoekbaar maken automatisch aan - anders zou de tekst alsnog naar buiten gaan.If you choose Bedrock, the installation switches on local searchability automatically - otherwise the text would still go outside.

Nog strikter: je assistent ziet alleen het afgeronde antwoordStricter still: your assistant sees only the finished answer
De RAG-oplossing zelf is AVG-conform - zeker in de privacy-inrichting, waarin documenten en antwoorden jullie omgeving niet verlaten. Maar dat betekent nog niet dat het systeem dat de oplossing gebrúikt dat ook is: Claude Code, Claude Desktop of een andere AI-assistent leest de gevonden passages mee in het gesprek en die tekst wordt verwerkt door de aanbieder van die assistent, onder diens voorwaarden.The RAG solution itself is GDPR-compliant - certainly in the privacy setup, where documents and answers never leave your environment. But that does not yet make the system that uses the solution compliant too: Claude Code, Claude Desktop or another AI assistant reads the retrieved passages along in the conversation, and that text is processed by that assistant’s provider, under its terms.
